Safety Checker for Parents & Teachers
Not sure about a link? Check for common warning signs before you open it. This is a basic educational check, not a live malware or reputation scan.
Upload a Suspicious Email
For parents and teachers. Save the email as an .eml file, then choose it below. We check the email on this device. We do not upload the file or open attachments.
For Outlook: open the message, then use Save As and choose an .eml format when available. Other formats, including .msg and screenshots, are not supported in this version.
Other email safety tips
Do not click links or open attachments. Check the sender's full address. Contact the organization using a phone number or website you already trust, not the information in the email.
Checking a friend request?
Confirm the person's identity another way before accepting. Be cautious if they ask for secrecy, money, pictures, passwords, or a move to a private app.
When to get help
If a child is in immediate danger in the U.S., call 911. Report suspected online child exploitation to the CyberTipline. For other concerns, contact a trusted adult or local law enforcement.
